Neuromodulation Categories Overview

As mentioned in the homepage, there are two main types of neuromodulators, and those two types are the main focus of this website.

Those two types are:

-Electrical stimulation, which sends electrical pulses at certain areas of the brain or nervous system in order to stop or supress diseases or degenerative conditions. This technique has been around for thousands of years and has been used to cure pain since the ancient Romans.

-Neuron stimulation, however, is very different and much more recent technology. This technique fires neurons at a point at the base ofthe spinal cord in order to dampen the pain signals being sent to the brain. This means that this form of neurotechnology will not ncure any physical ailments, but will block pain for people who are constantly affected by it. This technology has only come about in recent times, as the technology had not been discovered.
